Memorial Day Weekend

We had a busy but good Memorial Day weekend. On Friday night, my dad and Pat watched Hunter for us so that we could go to a graduation party and out to dinner to celebrate Darin's birthday. Dinner was delicious, but spending quality time with Darin was even better. On Saturday, we went with Emily, Kole, Chase and Ansley to the outlets. All three boys really enjoyed the time at the outlet playground.





Kole showed Darin how to play Angry Birds Rio during the ride there and back. All four children were very well behaved and Emily and I found some great deals. Hunter had a fever on Sunday morning so we didn't go to church. Darin and I were both very productive on Sunday - laundry, sanded and painted the deck furniture, and grocery shopped. On Monday, we celebrated Darin's birthday further with a lunch out with Hunter. Hunter did very well at entertaining himself by people watching.


Emily and her family, my dad, Pat and Pat's sister, Betty, came over on Monday afternoon. The boys played in the baby pool despite the very cold pool water. Then, we will grilled out. Hunter tried chocolate for the first time. He seemed to love the Weight Watcher friendly chocolate cupcakes.

It was such a wonderful weekend! It was the perfect beginning to a fun summer!
