Hilton Head Island

We spent 5 nights and 4 days in Hilton Head Island, SC, with Pop, Nana and the Dahlke family.  We drove down on Sunday.  It rained heavily the entire drive.  It pretty much rained until Wednesday afternoon.  During the small amounts of time that it didn't rain during that time, we made a couple trips to the beach, swam in the indoor pool, went out to eat at Salty Dog and Truffles Cafe, took advantage of resort planned activities and just spent time catching up with each other.  Darin and I went out to dinner at Hudson's to celebrate our anniversary on Wednesday night.  Pop and Nana stayed with the boys for us.  We had the most absolutely perfect day on Thursday.  We spent 3 hours at the beach (1.5 hours of that with the Dahlke family), two hour outdoor lunch at Skull Creek (amazingly delicious), 1.5 hours at the heated outdoor pool, and then we all cleaned out of fridges and had a smorgasboard dinner at the outdoor picnic tables.  It was a beautiful day to drive home on Friday.  We were fortunate in comparison to Pop, Nana and the Dahlke family because we were home by 3:45 and had time to enjoy the beautiful

day.  We had a wonderful time in HHI with the family.
