The "River"

On Tuesday, we got around 4 inches of rain. I had to go home around 10:30am to get something and this is what I saw from our deck. The creek behind our house became a "raging river" for a several hours. We were very fortunate that we did not get any water in our basement. Hunter, Darin and I spent about an hour in the basement in the middle of the night on Tuesday night. Hunter woke up the moment my hands touched him to pick him up and take him downstairs. I did get an extra hour of cuddling though and I really enjoyed that. Thankfully, he went back to sleep easily. Unfortunately, both Darin and I struggled to get back to sleep so Wednesday was a really long day.
