Five Months Old

Hunter is officially five months old today! I can't believe how quickly the time has passed since he was born. Some random things about Hunter now:
- Weighs ~20 lbs
- Wears 9 month Carters & OshKosh; 6-9 month Children's Place; 6-12 month Old Navy, Gymboree & Crazy 8's
- Currently recovering from his 3rd case of double ear infections
- Naps on average a total of 2 hours per day - usually spread over 2-4 naps
- Sleeps about 11 - 11.5 hours a night
- Shows a strong preference for Mommy when he is tired
- Sucks on Mommy's nose and kisses her to show affection
- Loves when Daddy sings the "Hunter song"
- Smiles/flirts with almost everyone
- Loves Ms. Maureen and Miss Amy (child care providers)
- Enjoys people watching
- Happiest in the morning and right after naps
- Reaches for people and objects
- Loves playing on the floor (mostly on his tummy), jumperoo, and exersaucer
- Plays and sleeps well in the car
- Arches his back when initially placed in his car seat but stops as soon as he is buckled
- Loves to breast feed, but also does very well with a bottle
- Eats fresh milk, formerly frozen milk, and formula equally well
- Takes his antibiotics very well (poor guy is a pro)
- Loves blankets: sucks on them and plays with them
- Enjoys the freedom that rolling gives him
- Sits up in the tub and has a great time splashing
- Working on sitting up outside of the tub
- Still enjoys his crib mobile but prefers to have a toy to play with as well
- Bats at the mobile over his swing
- Starting to enjoy listening to books, but mostly tries to get the book so he can eat it
We are looking forward to Hunter's first trip to Georgia in just over a week.
