Hunter had his 4 month well check up yesterday.
Stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 12 oz - above 95%
Height: 26.5 in - 95%
Head: 17.5 in - 95%
Hunter is a big, strong, and happy boy. He has been congested for his entire 4th month and had ear infections that took 2 antibiotics to finally knock out. I think it is to be expected though since he is a daycare baby. Despite having had a cold and ear infections, he smiles easily and is happy to see his teachers at daycare every morning.
Hunter had a tough time with the vaccines this time as he did after his 2 month vaccines. Thankfully, Aunt Emily volunteered to watch him yesterday. He was much more interested in the other kids than he was in eating or hanging out with Aunt Emily. He is a people watcher. We will have to make sure that Hunter spends some time with Aunt Emily when he is in a better mood.
Hunter's developmental milestones for the fourth month include consistent rolling from stomach to back and back to stomach. When on his stomach, he will rest on his elbows. He grasps at toys now. Hunter enjoys playing with and sucking on his hands. He is quite partial to his thumb. He sucks his thumb mostly at night and not as much during the day unless he is napping. Hunter loves blankets. He sucks on them, plays with them and pulls them over his face. He will pull the blanket over his face, flail his legs and arms and giggle. It really freaked me out the first time he did it. He really likes watching and interacting with other children. I think he developed a bit of a crush on PJ, one of the little girls that Aunt Emily watches everyday.
Both my boys were only a quarter inch shorter at 4 months than Hunter. Chase's head now is only 1/2 inch bigger but both my kids have peanut heads. He has Kole's 4 month weight beat by 3.5 lbs and Chase's by about 2 lbs. I think we might be well on our way to growing our own football team.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Hunter is growing just wonderfully and I'm glad that he was able to stay with Emily after his shots. :)
