20 Months

Hunter is 20 months old today.  It sounds so old but yet so young at the same time.
  • Hunter has had a rough couple of weeks health wise.  Two weekends ago, Hunter's nose started running like a faucet and he was running a low grade fever.  Five days after the virus started, I took him to see his pediatrician because Hunter was wheezing.  After a breathing treatment did nothing to improve his breathing, he was diagnosed with viral bronchiolitis.  Since then, the virus seems to be gone, but Hunter has terrible ear infections.  He lost the tube in his right ear.  He is on his 2nd round of 7 days of antibiotic drops in each ear and is now taking an oral antibiotic in addition.
  • Despite the illnesses, Hunter has continued to his happy self.
  • Hunter has fallen in love with his lead daycare teacher.  He gives her a big hug each morning.  Once he is in her arms, he never looks back to say goodbye or to see if I'm still there.
  • He is repeating almost everything we say.
  • Hunter loves all things Elmo.
  • His interest in trains is growing.
  • He loves to read books together.
  • Hunter calls all fish Nemo.
  • He still loves pushing toys - lawn mower, broom, mop, boxes, etc.
  • He loves to say, sign and eat apples.
  • Hunter still loves blueberries and bananas and on some days, grapes.
  • Preferred dinner is "dog dog" (turkey hot dog).
  • Most of the time, he wants to eat or drink anything that I have and not so much what Darin has.
  • Hunter's best friend at school is still Carson.  They've been best buds for almost a year.  They giggle and point at each other each morning.
  • Hunter is very good about cleaning up his toys.  He sings the clean up song while putting his toys away.
  • He likes learning and making the animal sounds.  He is not so interested in counting or colors yet though.
